Belváros-Lipótváros

Introduction

The Belváros–Lipótváros Public Area Supervision Authority was established based on Municipal Decree No. 29/2007 (IX. 19.) of the Representative Body of the Municipality of Belváros–Lipótváros, Budapest District V, as well as other legal provisions governing independent public area supervision. The decree defines the legal status, tasks, operational framework, and powers of the Authority. Our authority operates exclusively within the administrative boundaries of District V of Budapest, focusing on the public areas of the district. Our primary responsibilities include:

We carry out our work under the direction of the Municipality of Belváros–Lipótváros, in compliance with applicable laws, while taking into account the interests of residents, workers, and visitors of the district.

Our goal is to ensure that the public spaces of the district are orderly, safe, and livable, and that their use is lawful and predictable for everyone. In our work, we place particular emphasis on prevention, cooperation, and public information.
